DTU Library - Booking Walk-in Studio

The Walk-in studio at DTU Media Lab is available to DTU students and employees.

  • The Walk-in studio is open for bookings 06:00-22:00. Bookings can be made up to 2 weeks in advance
  • Late arrival of more than 15 minutes allows other parties to use the facility for the remaining period – without making a booking

For recording on SSD-harddisk, you can borrow SSD-harddisks including a docking station at Library Service during the staff hours. The recording will be in high resolution, and you will need to either edit it in a pro video editing application such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut etc. and save as mp4 or transcode to mp4 in Handbrake or another app. which is freeware, before you upload to video.dtu.dk. You can preview your video in Quicktime on Mac and VLC on PC.

You can edit your video footage in Post-production next to the Walk-in Studio on either PC or Mac.

You can now use Panopto in the studio. Connect your laptop with the Panopto USB-cable at the podium. Go to panopto.dtu.dk and download Panopto. Install on your laptop and open. Choose the camera and sound from the studio – record.

Do you have suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact medialab@dtu.dk for further information.
