This screen will permit you to reserve access to E&ES instruments. You need to have passed a training course to use these instruments; please see the lab supervisor for details. If you wish access when an instrument is listed as unavailable,please contact me in advance at dburney@sas.upenn.edu. If you are an E.&E.S. member and need access to a reserved instrument, please contact me for priority access.
Please make sure that your samples are ready to analyze before your appointment or risk losing the appointment. Also make sure you are ready to leave the lab by the end of your scheduled analytical time so that the lab can be either utlized by another user, or closed for the evening.
There will be a large construction project in Hayden Hall from 5/28 (the Tuesday after Memorial day) until 7/16 (mid-July). This project will shut down all chilled water in the building for the entire duration, so we will not have any AC in the building . The work also entails drilling into walls to install new pipes, so labs will have to be prepared to mitigate dust harming the instruments. Therefore, all instruments in the EES service center will be shut down for the entire construction project. If you need to run samples please send me an email and I will let you know when instruments are back up and running. Apologies for the delays, but this is a necessary project to fix the climate control capabilities of Hayden Hall. Thank you for your patience.
