Cake and Tools nights gather couples or singles for an interactive demo with me, Shannon Batts, married over 27 years, and advanced trained in the research based couples' approach of the Gottman Institute.  The location in Portland will be sent to all those register. This demo is available to be brought to your organization, group, or community.

This event is inclusive of LGBQ, Transgender, and Intersex participants.

One couple who agrees to will be the demo couple using a real conflict, not a role played incident, and will be coached in use of the communication tool while the rest follow along.  I will clarify the process and answer questions as we go.  The tool is called The Aftermath of a Fight or Regrettable Incident, and is in a booklet form.  Each participant will receive a booklet to keep with special annotations by me that make it easier to use at home..  The Aftermath in 5 steps was designed with findings on what successful marriages do to stay connected even when there has been a regrettable incident.   This process can be done in all your types of relationships: mates, other relatives, co-workers, members of your community, and with children.

I will send you an invoice using Square when we have enough people ready to go and you confirm the date works for you. Cost varies depending on our current venue, but is likely to remain $60 per person and includes the event, the Aftermath booklet, and Petunia's gluten free, vegan cake that we share together at the end.
