Auditions for Calliope take place mid- to late-August and early January each year. Each audition slot is 15 minutes.
Here's what to expect:
1. Arrive 10 minutes early.
2. Please prepare a short solo song approximately 1 to 3 minutes in length to perform. Youare encouraged to bring a prepared piece with accompaniment (with a copy of music for our accompanist), but are welcome to sing a selection a capella if you prefer. This can be a song of any genre — we want you to sing something you're comfortable with that showcases your voice.
3. The audition will also check vocal range, pitch matching, and aural recall.
4. You'll have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the choir.
