PLEASE NOTE: Fuller Theological Seminary has designated photographs of students as Directory Information, and under the guidelines of the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Fuller can release a photograph of a student so long as the student has not requested that Fuller withhold Directory Information. 
It is generally the case that photographers do not require releases or permissions to use photos and video shot during campus events and in public spaces. In such settings, potential subjects have minimal expectations of privacy. Photos and video taken in these settings often include portraits of speakers and graduates, as well as the congregation in attendance at chapel services and institutional events such as hoodings and Commencement itself. 
These photos and videos may be used by Fuller Theological Seminary and The Fuller Foundation for marketing and fundraising materials, as well as general communication about the institutions. Rather than gathering hundreds of Digital Release forms (most of which will be unneeded), we are asking that the few students who need to be sure that their images are not included alert us to that desire. Students who have a Confidentiality Flag on their record and have requested that Fuller not release Directory Information should confirm that in this particular instance as well. 

Unless I notify Fuller Theological Seminary ("Fuller") through this form on or before June 1, 2024, I agree that and hereby give Fuller, the Photographer, their assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives, and heirs, the irrevocable right to use my picture, portrait, photograph, video, or other capture, in all forms and in all media and in all manners, in perpetuity and throughout the universe, without any restriction as to changes or alterations (including but not limited to composite or distorted representations or derivative works made in any medium) for advertising, trade, promotion, marketing, fundraising, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the photograph(s) or finished version(s) incorporating the photograph(s), including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Fuller, the Photographer, their assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives and heirs from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of the photographs, or in any processing tending toward the completion of the finished product, unless it can be shown that they and the publication thereof were maliciously caused, produced, and published solely for the purpose of subjecting me to conspicuous ridicule, scandal, reproach, scorn, and indignity. I agree that Fuller owns the copyright in these photographs and I hereby waive any claims I may have based on any usage of the photographs or works derived therefrom, including but not limited to claims for either invasion of privacy or libel. I am of full age and competent to consent or to withhold consent to this agreement. I agree that this release shall be binding on me, my legal representatives, heirs, and assigns. I have read this release and am fully familiar with its contents.
