Auditions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 4, 2018, at Macalester Plymouth United Church in St. Paul. Here's what to expect:
1. Arrive 10 minutes early.
2. Please prepare a short solo song approximately 1 to 3 minutes in length to perform. You are encouraged to bring a prepared piece with accompaniment (with a copy of music for our accompanist), but are welcome to sing a selection a capella if you prefer. This can be a song of any genre — we want you to sing something you're comfortable with that showcases your voice.
3. The audition will also check vocal range, pitch matching, and aural recall.
4. You'll have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the choir.
How to sign up for a slot:
1. Click the calendar on the time you're interested in.
2. A 15-minute timeframe should appear in the popup window. Make sure the times are correct. A new audition begins every quarter hour.
3. Enter in your information. It won't be visible to anyone but the Calliope webmaster.
4. Click "Create Audition."
5. You'll recieve a confirmation email and a reminder the day before your audition.
Please reserve only one 15-minute time slot for yourself.
