XR & Usability Lab Orientations and Workshops

Welcome!

Extended Reality (XR) refers to the entire spectrum of immersive technologies, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR). These technologies transform education by creating immersive, interactive, and personalized learning experiences. As a result, XR technologies fosters an experiential approach to curricula that enhances formal classroom learning and augments students’ ability to successfully achieve learning outcomes. XR and other biosensing technologies also support enhanced data collection and analytics. This data can provide insights into learning behaviors and outcomes that allow faculty to refine learning strategies and improve learning experiences.

To learn more about how to utilize these technologies sign up for an orientation or individual tutorial.

Orientations teach you the basics of a given technology and give you the skills to comfortably engage and use the technology.

Tutorials are individualized to your specific needs. The use cases of XR/Usability spread across multiple disciplines. With tutorials we can dive deeper into the areas that interest you the most.

Sessions must be booked 24 hours in advance.  Faculty and students can make multiple reservations for either one-on-one tutorials or group workshops below.
