It’s two years ago today that SuperSaaS entered full scale operation, and we would like to thank you all for using our site. Growth has been phenomenal in the last year; SuperSaaS is now available in 12 languages with locally based representatives in 7 countries.

Your feedback has led to many new features

We have made numerous improvements to the site based on your feedback. Here is a small selection of recently added features:

  • Google Calendar sync. If you use Google Calendar, we can read your personal agenda and make sure that your SuperSaaS schedule is only available on those times that you have no other appointments planned yet. This is useful if you want someone to self-schedule an appointment with you without having to show the details of your other appointments. On the SuperSaaS side you can still use all the regular features such as setting time limits, SMS reminders and payment handling.
  • Advanced pricing schemes. If you use SuperSaaS to collect payments you can now set the price of an appointment depending on when it starts, how long it takes, and many other things. For example, you could offer your service at a reduced rate at the last minute, but only on certain days of the week.
  • More customization options. The layout options have been greatly expanded; you can now change the color of almost every item on the screen. Every reference to SuperSaaS can be removed, including from the administrator screens, which is useful if you want to resell our service as part of your own offering.
  • Integrated shop. You can set up a shop as part of your appointment schedule page so you can sell credit that people can subsequently use on your schedule. For example, you could define a service that has “5 appointments for the price of 4”.
  • Support for multiple time zones. If you have users spread across time zones they can view appointment times in both your time zone and theirs. E-mail confirmations will also show times in two zones and correctly adjust for daylight saving time when appropriate.
  • Single Sign on. SuperSaaS now has an interface that allows web developers to extend the system or integrate it with their own back end systems. One potential use is to automatically log in your users if they have already logged in on your own site.

SuperSaaS helps combat swine flue

Our clients continue to find new uses for the site that we never envisaged when it was first designed. When the Irish government decided to inoculate the entire at-risk population of young children and elderly citizens against H1N1 influenza they were faced with the logistical challenge of getting everyone to the hospitals in an orderly fashion. While some other countries simply asked patients to wait in line, the Irish Health Service Executive created a SuperSaaS schedule for every major hospital in the country and broadcast the web address in a media campaign, so people could plan a time that was convenient for them.

The system worked great, and the client was delighted to find out that they managed to set up in days what would have previously cost them weeks of preparation. We are delighted that the system proves flexible and scalable enough to cater both to extremely large clients and also serve the individual renting out his holiday home.

Looking forward to your feedback

Our rapid growth certainly doesn’t mean we will sit back and relax; we are committed to continually improve the site. You can send us feedback via the site or by simply replying to this e-mail.
